Record book, 1860-1865, giving names of soldiers, and listing accounts for such items as pants, boots, and blankets, and listing missing and dead regiment members. Includes map drawn in pencil of winter quarters, 1863-1864, somewhere in Virginia, of 4th North Carolina Infantry Regt.; log cabin barracks with wooden chimneys arranged around a square, identifying quarters for men of various ranks, a church, privies, etc.; this map is drawn on a ledger-size sheet folded and tipped into volume.
